Joshua Chessin-Yudin was born and raised in Seattle, Washington.  For as long as he could remember, he always had wanted to be involved in the arts.

This desire led to taking improv classes in middle school, drama classes in high school and ultimately receiving two degrees in Drama Performance and Spanish from the University of Washington.

In early 2020 he finished a Broadway run as the understudy in Roundabout Theatre Company’s “The Sound Inside,” directed by David Cromer at Studio 54. In 2021 he finished an Off-Broadway run as understudy in Joshua Harmon’s “Prayer for the French Republic”, also directed by David Cromer. While understudying for it’s transfer to Broadway in early 2024, Josh had the opportunity to make his Broadway debut, portraying the character of Daniel.

Recently, he completed principal photography on a short film “Chasing 24”, which he wrote, starred in, and executive produced. It’s available for viewing in the MEDIA section.

Most recently, Josh was featured in the co-production of “Leopoldstadt” at Huntington Theatre Company in Boston and Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C.
